Things to consider when choosing LED strips
LED strips are perfect as general lighting on construction sites and for illuminating lift shafts, stairwells etc. but the quality differs alot between manufacturers.
If you are going to use the LED strips outdoors? Is so, you need a LED strip that has an IP rating x5 or higher. (It is the second number in the IP number that indicates water resistance.) All of the LED strips in Marelds assortment are IP 65 rated.
Will the LED strip be used where you are for a longer period of the day? In that case, a frosted version may be preferable as it emits a light that is gentler for your eyes.
Flickering lights contribute to fatigue, headaches and other negative health effects. To remedy this, Mareld has developed a flicker-free driver that can be connected to Sunlit LED strips.
Do you want to be able to turn on, turn off, dim and make lighting schedules with your mobile phone? Mareld has developed a dimmer that is compatible with Sunlit LED strips and the Casambi app can so you can control your LED strips with your mobile phone regardless of where you are.
How energy efficient is the LED strip? A LED strip should have at least 120lm/w to meet the eco-design requirements. There is a lot of money to be saved in energy costs by choosing an efficient LED strip. Mareld's LED strips have over 120 lm/watt.

Flicker-free work light
Flickering lights contribute to fatigue, headaches and other negative health effects. Not all flicker is visible to the naked eye. Stroboscopic flicker is first visible when a light shines on something that moves.
By connecting the driver with the LED-strips you get flicker-free lighting and a healthier work environment. The driver can be connected to LED strips in series up to 100 meters. The driver will also lead to lower energy consumption.
Since 2021, there are design requirements on how much new light sources may flicker.
